About the event
I.D. — An Immersive Journey Through Music, Sound & the Body
10 places only
£30 standard · £20 supported (2 spaces)
I.D. is more than a sound session.
It is an immersive journey through music, sound and the body, offering space to move beyond everyday thinking and into a deeper experience of sensation, emotion, imagery, movement, insight and rest.
You’ll be invited to lie down, close your eyes and listen as a carefully created musical journey unfolds around you. Rather than following instructions or trying to reach a particular state, you are encouraged to notice and follow your own experience.
For some people, that may be profound relaxation or stillness. For others, music and sound can bring emotion, memories, imagery, spontaneous movement, creative insight or a renewed sense of connection with themselves.
There is no right way to experience I.D., and nothing you need to achieve.
More than relaxation
While deep rest can be part of the experience, I.D. can also create space for things that have been held beneath the surface to be noticed, felt and integrated. This is why the session includes more than the sound journey itself.
We begin with time to arrive, settle and orient to the space. After the main journey, there is time to gently return, reflect and integrate before leaving.
You will never be expected to disclose or talk about anything you do not want to share.
Specialist facilitation
The session is facilitated by Caroline Georgiou, an experienced counsellor, somatic practitioner and senior I.D./innerdance facilitator and trainer.
Caroline brings more than 27 years of counselling experience alongside extensive work with trauma, the nervous system, somatic practice, dreamwork, sound and altered states of awareness. Her approach is person-centred and responsive rather than prescriptive, with particular attention to consent, pacing, choice and creating a space in which each person can have their own experience.
I.D. is offered as a wellbeing practice and experiential sound journey rather than psychotherapy or medical treatment.
You might come because you want to:
get out of your head and reconnect with your body
experience deep rest without needing to “do” anything
create space for emotion without having to explain it
explore imagery, imagination or your inner world
reconnect with creativity and intuition
experience music and sound in a much deeper way
leave feeling more spacious, grounded or connected to yourself
What to expect
